Colorado Open Records Request Act (CORA)

Please use this form to submit your request for public records. If the Division of Criminal Justice is the custodian of the records, we will respond within the statutory timeframe allowed for records requests. If we are not the custodian of the records, we will notify you and direct you to the agency that we believe is most likely to be the custodian of those records. CDPS will charge a maximum of $0.25 per page for copies of records. The maximum hourly rate for research and retrieval of public records is $41.37 for CDPS agencies, per provisions of the Colorado Open Records Act (CORA). Also, per provisions of CORA, the first hour of time associated with research and retrieval of public records among CDPS agencies will be provided at no cost. Domestic Violence Offender Management Board (DVOMB)

The DVOMB sets the standards for the treatment of offenders convicted of domestic violence offenses. The Office does not provide direct treatment of offenders, and therefore if you are seeking records on a specific offender, you will need to contact the treatment provider directly. Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB)

The SOMB sets the standards for the treatment of individuals convicted of sexual offenses. The Office does not provide direct treatment of offenders, and therefore if you are seeking records on a specific offender, you will need to contact the treatment provider directly. Victims Programs

Community Corrections

The Office of Community Corrections ensures compliance with the Colorado Community Corrections Standards through regular program audits; Distributes state and federal monies to community corrections boards and programs; Provides technical assistance and specialized training to local facility staff, boards, and board members; Completes background checks on prospective employees of community corrections programs; Collects statistical data and other information about community corrections on behalf of the Colorado legislature and other state entities; and provides support to the Governor's Community Corrections Advisory Council. The Office does not maintain the correctional records for individual offenders. Please note that local community corrections boards contract directly with, pay, and provide oversight of the community corrections programs within their jurisdiction, and maintain all records related to those functions.

Office of Adult and Juvenile Justice Assistance (OAJJA)

The Office of Adult and Juvenile Justice Assistance (OAJJA) manages several state and federal grant programs--all designed to provide support to and assist in the improvement of the justice system. The office also supports the Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention Council and the Justice Assistance Grant Board. OAJJA publishes a list of the grant programs, the lists of funding recipients, and various reports online.
